I have an iPhone 3GS and my wife has a 3G and this device works almost perfectly for both of us in our 2009 Scion xB. I say almost because the device doesn't clip into the iPhone soundly.It inserts just fine, but can fall out if the phone gets jostled. I'm just happy I can charge my phone and listen to my iPhone music while driving. It is (very cheap) and feel the connector on the above issues, for its construction quality does not get 5 stars. In all, totally worth buying..
